The correct way to do any of this would have been to heat the frame up for everything, for stretching the frame apart as well as bending the struts back in place, less stress is always best. In the “less than desirable” instructions that came with the kit, the only time heat is mentioned is when you start pulling the fender strut area back together and in line, says your suppose to heat it up in the process.
